We don't actually have one of those lamps but really love them. We have that Ikea one that is sort of similar. As for the dog, I realized as I was painting it, that the poor thing is stuck in there until Christmas day! Thank you!

I LOVE this. It's brilliant! It works for me on so many levels, not least because of the familiar blanket, or of course Dickens. :) I love the recognizable objects, the poses of you and A, the fact that you're reading Dickens to him, the puppy in the box, the fantastic sofa...I love it all. your style is so perfect.
