We don&#039;t actually have one of those lamps but really love them. We have that Ikea one that is sort of similar. 
As for the dog, I realized as I was painting it, that the poor thing is stuck in there until Christmas day!</description>

I LOVE this. It&#039;s brilliant! It works for me on so many levels, not least because of the familiar blanket, or of course Dickens. :) I love the recognizable objects, the poses of you and A, the fact that you&#039;re reading Dickens to him, the puppy in the box, the fantastic sofa...I love it all. your style is so perfect. You are so talented! This is to me your strength: illustration. 

PS. Did you guys really get one of those lamps?? 
PS. The card is now on my fridge. I just received it today!! Thank you. I&#039;m trying to decide what to do with the three I now have. Frame them as a triptych?</description>
